The two-story office building creates a strong presence for the ACSC in the South Bay by consolidating various satellite locations into an identifiable landmark location. In part, the site was selected on the basis of high traffic counts, and the subterranean garage was constructed to provide a 6/1000 parking ratio. The steel moment frame design provides large open glazing opportunities, efficient interior bay depths for office functions, and ductile strength for earthquake resistance. Laminated glass helps reduce interior noise levels, and an energy-efficient monolithic fluid applied roof coating contributes to longevity and ease of maintenance.
