The architectural design turned the problematic sloped site, which had limited access to a public right of way that made access to parking and units difficult, into a signature two-story entrance lobby on the same level as the parking. Taking advantage of the strong visual characteristics of the site, the design utilizes Santa Barbara-style architecture to create a distinctive sense of place.
