At Park Place, 99 affordable family apartments replaced blighted commercial buildings with much-needed housing in the redeveloping neighborhood of Lynwood Gardens. The planning and design of the project were critical in the transformation of this up-and-coming neighborhood. Sited to take advantage of proximity to the nearby park and Farmer’s Market, the development creates a sense of arrival and enhances the street edge. The architecture is a bright, modern update of the California bungalow style with balconies and patios overlooking lush landscaping.

In addition to the mix of comfortable two- and three-bedroom units, Park Place offers generous, family-friendly amenities including a large community hall with a computer lab and kitchen, pool, barbeque areas, a children’s playground, and a street-front daycare center that is also available to the surrounding community. The project is built to LEED Gold standards incorporating sustainable features from the siting of the building to the landscaping and energy efficient mechanical systems and appliances.
