Originally designed in 1924 by West Coast architect George Thomas and his assistant William Bell, Palos Verdes Golf Club boasts panoramic views of the Pacific and coastal cities. The centerpiece of the property is an elegant Spanish-style clubhouse that has been a center for the Peninsula social life since the 1920s.
The project involved the design of extensive additions and the remodel of the clubhouse, which unified various historical styles, and provided the desired expansion space while maintaining the integrity of the original design. The renovation added 18,000 square feet of space including a lobby, a 300-seat dining room, a new commercial kitchen and a subterranean delivery loading area. The parking lot was also expanded.
