Bloomington Grove & Lillian Court Receive SCANPH’s Top Honor
During the annual conference of the Southern California Association of Non-Profit Housing (SCANPH) on September 21, 2017, Bloomington Grove and Lillian Court won the organization’s Homes Within Reach Awards top honor, the Transformative Communities Award.
The Homes Within Reach Awards, which takes place every year at SCANPH’s Annual Conference recognizes excellence in affordable housing. Selections are submitted by SCANPH members and chosen by an independent and impartial jury of professionals from throughout SCANPH’s regional footprint.
Developed and built by The Related Companies, Bloomington Grove and Lillian Court are the residential components of a mixed-use community that has truly transformed a disadvantaged area by successfully integrating public social uses and affordable housing. The community includes affordable family and senior housing, a public library, community spaces, fitness center, pools and on-site social services.
With two successful phases now complete, Withee Malcolm Architects has been selected to design Phase Three.
