As a 40+ professional, multi-talented and multi-tasking team, Withee Malcolm – A BSB Design Studio, offers clients commitment, creative energy and personal integrity to every project.
Operating from our Los Angeles South Bay office in tandem with BSB Design’s 10 other offices nationally, we approach planning, architecture and interior assignments in Southern and Northern California. For every effort we are dedicated to finding the best possible solution and delivering informed, responsive service. This approach has helped us build long-term client and partner relationships across urban infill housing, commercial, industrial and most recently food and hospitality-focused markets.
For us architecture is an optimistic practice. Our work focuses on the future of our neighborhoods, our cities, and our environment—where our design makes a difference.

Senior Project Manager
Senior Project Manager Dan Torres services commercial, hospitality and corporate interior clients with expertise gained over a nearly fifty-year career. He was the first employee of Withee Malcolm and spent fifteen years early in the firm’s history working on residential, commercial and industrial projects, establishing systems, honing client service skills, and earning the title Director of Production.
Dan rejoined Withee Malcolm in 2021 after more than thirty years on his own working with global brands such as Stonefire Grill, California Fish Grill, PLS Financial Services, Blaze Pizza, KFC, Porsche, Napa Valley Grille, El Torito Grille and Freebirds. His return has expanded WM’s reach into the commercial and interiors markets, bringing an operational-level understanding of these businesses. With his experience and the talents of WM’s staff, he addresses client’s architecture, constructability, interiors and branding needs across placemaking, tenant improvement and hospitality and food service projects.
