The Highland Residences a Finalist in NAHB Multifamily Pillars Award
The Highland Residences was selected as a finalist in the 2017 National Association of Home Builders Multifamily Pillars of the Industry Award in the Best Mid-Rise Apartment Community (6 to 9 stories) category. In announcing the finalists, the NAHB noted that judges were challenged with reviewing many quality entries; determining which projects showed innovation or stood out above others was not easy. “Becoming a finalist is a great honor, and you can be extremely proud of your accomplishment. It’s also a great selling point for you and your company in today’s evolving housing market.”
The Highland Residences is a compact infill development that takes full advantage of its tight urban site. The six-story, luxury apartment and retail complex features 76 apartments ground floor retail, spacious residential lobby, co-working space, fitness facility, bicycle shop, and a pet park—all the amenities of a boutique hotel.
The project was also featured in a Multi-Housing Pro magazine article that focused on a trend among the finalist’s projects: “the inclusion of ground-floor retail and dining establishments that add another revenue stream to a community’s earnings and enhance resident attraction and retention.”
